About Victoria

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me." Psalm 28:7

Who I am

Hi, I’m Victoria Myers—a Southern gal, author, lay ministry leader, grief group facilitator, and retired homeschool mom of over 21 years.

I’ve been married to the most amazing man in the world for over 30 years and am the proud mom of three incredible blessings: Brittany (26), Haden (Forever 20), and Dylan (17).

But beyond titles, I’m a woman who’s walked through deep loss—and discovered the power of faith, healing, and perspective on the other side of it.

Why I Write & What you'll Find Here

After losing my son Haden, I found myself asking questions, and I had to do a lot of reading, researching, praying, and counseling to traverse this valley. I know how overwhelming that can feel when you’re barely surviving.

While God was ultimately my source of healing, I still found myself longing for something practical—something that could help me wrestle through the questions and confusion that come with grief. That longing became the heartbeat behind my book: not to provide all the answers, but to share what I’ve learned in a way that’s simple, honest, and rooted in faith.

Through my writing, I hope to offer encouragement, perspective, and truth for anyone walking through loss, questioning their faith, or searching for hope. While I don’t offer one-on-one support or counseling, my blog, book, and resources are here to point you toward lasting hope—reminding you that God is near, and healing is possible.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Romans 8:28

A few Fun Facts

I love mountain trails, scalding hot baths, bow hunting, iced tea, and staying fit… all balanced out with a healthy Oreo cookie addiction. If I’m not writing, reading, or teaching in some capacity, I’m probably doing the dishes.

I call myself an “extroverted introvert,” a creative, outside-the-box kind of gal, and probably the most adventurous “chicken” you’ll ever meet.

I’ve hiked 14ers, pet a wild tiger, watched glaciers calve into the Pacific, been baptized in the Jordan River, dated a soapbox opera star, witnessed whales bubble-feeding in Alaska, and survived many helicopter rides over the mountains with my pilot husband.

More than anything, I believe in living life to the fullest, chasing dreams like they’re actually attainable, and glorifying God through it all.
